Time to finally update this thing!! I am very, very ,close to getting 10,000 page views!!! So anyone who catches it (with a screen capture or whatever)will get a free sketch!! So let the games begin!!

The quest goes well with breaking into the Children's book arena. I recently had two educational books published. Which is awesome! I didn't really know how many different fields the children's book world is divided into. So gearing my artwork for the specific industry I want to work in is playing a huge factor in how I'm building my portfolio.

I recently joined The Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators. [link] I also recntly got a page over on JacketFlap [link] I really need to explore a lot more.  There are a number of conventions coming up that I need to prepare for as well.  I also recently joined an online critique group specifically for thsoe interested in the Children's book field. I may also start one of my own, you can never get too much advice and insight from others.  Let me know if any of you would be interested in participating in a critique group of this nature! I also want to start an in-person critique group for the West Florida area.  Let mw know if anyone is interested in that as well!! Their's a lot of work ahead, but I am psyched to be working in this direction!!

Thanks to all my Deviant watchers who critique my artwork and give me insight into the things I need to improve upon! I take it all very seriously. Especially when I am told things that I really don't want to hear! The truth hurts sometimes. But I thank you all for your input!  I'll have my website up in the next month or so and I'll be blogging more as things go along.
